THE IMPORTANCE OF HAVING GOOD CHARECTER.

BY SAFFIYAH DABOUS

Abu Darda(may Allah(God) be pleased with him) reported that the prophet Muhammed(Peace and blessings. be upon him.) said'' nothing is heavier upon the scale of a  believer on the day of resurrection. than his good charecter. Verily Allah(GOD)hates the vulgar and obcence.''

The prophet Muhammed(pubh) said ''The best among you are those who have the best manners and the best charecter''.

The first quote means on the day of judgement you will have a scale of your good deeds and your bad deeds and if you have more good deeds than bad deeds than you will go to jannah(paridise) but if you have more bad deeds than good deeds than you will go to Jahanam(HELLFIRE). But if you have good charecter than that will outweight anthing because good charecter is very important it can be one of the most important things in our lifes so that is why we should make sure that we have good charecter so we can go to jannah(paridise) with all our family and freinds and not jahanam(HELLFIRE)where we will be suffering with all of the bad people that did bad things. Vulgar and obcence means not being a good person and using lots of foul language all the time. This also means showing people that you are trustworthy by always being honest and humble and not lying.

The Second quote means exactly what it says the best people are those with good manners and character. Now we want people to think that we are one of these people right so if you think that you don't have good character then you need to think about what you can improve and then you can start making steps for example:

Step 1; Be kind to at least two neighbours or elderly this week

Step 2; Smile at someone and offer them help at least 3 times this week

Step 3; Try and be truthful this entire week.

and then each week when you have completed these steps or your steps then you can tick them of and create new targets for yourself until you think that your good character has improved and that you don't need to make steps anymore
